In brief
A physician with a dual background: I have completed all Israeli board examinations in anesthesiology at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, and I have been practicing regenerative aesthetic medicine for over six years — currently from my clinic in Tzur Hadassah. My initial training in aesthetic medicine was with Dr. Eitan Berman in Savyon — a senior dermatologist among the leading practitioners in the field in Israel.
My approach rests on three principles: mechanism-based diagnosis before selecting a treatment tool, a conservative approach focused on natural-looking results, and the use of advanced techniques that my anesthesiology background makes possible — including facial nerve blocks that expand what can be done comfortably in the clinic.
Aesthetic medicine — 6+ years
Primary training
Dr. Eitan Berman, Savyon (2019–2020) — senior dermatologist, one of the most experienced and well-known teachers in the field of aesthetic medicine in Israel. An intensive training period in injection techniques, aesthetic diagnosis, and treatment selection.
Since 2019, specializing in the following treatments and techniques:
- Botox — forehead, glabella, crow's feet, masseter (jaw contouring), lip flip, Nefertiti, brow lift, micro-botox, Baby Botox
- Hyaluronic acid fillers — cheeks, lips, tear-trough, jawline, chin, forehead, sub-brow filler. Cannula-based work for vascular safety.
- Biostimulators — Sculptra, Radiesse, polynucleotides (PN / salmon DNA) for collagen induction and gradual rejuvenation
- PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) — i-PRF for facial injection and hair restoration; Alb-PRF (Albumin-gel PRF) for autologous volume restoration following the modern protocols of Dr. Richard Miron
- Deep microneedling with PRF — at depths most aesthetic clinics cannot safely reach, using facial nerve blocks performed by me
- Subcision — release of atrophic scars (acne) combined with PRF
- Hair restoration — holistic approach: combining regenerative treatments (PRF) with a full medical workup including blood tests to identify systemic contributors, and a treatment plan matched to the underlying cause rather than just the symptom. Hair loss is rarely a simple problem — it requires proper diagnosis before treatment.
Ongoing professional updating through conferences and reading the most recent peer-reviewed literature in the field — particularly around the new PRF protocols (Bio-PRF / Alb-PRF) that are changing the standard in autologous volume restoration.
Why an anesthesiology background matters for aesthetic patients
Anesthesiology is not just "putting people to sleep" — it is a deep understanding of neuroanatomy, physiology, pain management, and safety. This background changes what can be offered in the aesthetic clinic:
- Facial nerve blocks — a fast, safe technique that anesthetizes entire facial regions. Enables deep microneedling (1.5–3 mm), comfortable subcision for scars, and treatments around the lips and tear-trough that would otherwise be painful. Most aesthetic clinics cannot perform these safely.
- Expert pain management — a combination of topical anesthetics, ice, vibration, and specific nerve blocks. Most patients report that treatments here are significantly more comfortable than what they have experienced elsewhere.
- Detailed knowledge of neuro-vascular anatomy — anesthesiology training involves in-depth study of nerve and vascular pathways. This translates directly into increased safety for injections in sensitive areas (tear-trough, glabella, nose).
- Emergency training — should a rare complication occur (allergic reaction, vascular event), experience in intensive care and resuscitation is a unique asset.
- A medical, not cosmetic, approach — mechanism-based diagnosis, realistic expectations, referral when appropriate, and a willingness to say "no" when a treatment is not the right fit.
Medical background
Anesthesiology residency
Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem · 2021 – 2026 (PGY-6)
Five-year residency in anesthesiology at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Comprehensive experience in pediatric anesthesia, cardiothoracic anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia in a high-volume center (25,000+ deliveries/year), ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, and intensive care.
Israeli National Anesthesiology Board Examinations: written (2024) and oral (2025) — completed.
USMLE (U.S.): Step 1, Step 2 CK, Step 2 CS — Pass.
ECFMG Certified
Academic education
- M.D. · First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague (2012–2019)
- M.Sc., Mechanical Engineering · Technion — Israel Institute of Technology (2010–2012). Thesis on flow control in wind turbines.
- B.S., Mechanical Engineering · Boston University, USA (2003–2006). First-place prize, 2006 graduating class.
The engineering background contributes analytical and precise thinking — particularly useful in aesthetic work that requires understanding of vectors, force relationships, and structural facial planning.
