Platelet‑Rich Fibrin (PRF)

Regenerative support for skin quality, structure, and tissue behavior — derived from your own biology.

What it is

A biologic regenerative treatment prepared from a small blood draw.

What it isn’t

Not a filler. Not synthetic volume. Not designed for “overnight” change.

What PRF is — and what it isn’t

Platelet‑rich fibrin (PRF) is a biologic regenerative treatment derived from your own blood. It contains platelets and a fibrin matrix that supports gradual release of growth factors into surrounding tissue.

PRF is not a filler and does not create artificial volume. Its role is to support how skin repairs, thickens, and functions over time — gradually.

How PRF is used in our practice

PRF is not a single, fixed treatment. It can be prepared and delivered in different forms depending on the tissue being treated and the duration of effect needed.

PRF may be introduced into the skin at different depths depending on the biologic goal. In some cases, PRF is delivered superficially using an FDA‑cleared microneedling device to support surface‑level dermal signaling and overall skin quality. In other cases, PRF is placed directly into the epidermis or dermis using targeted injection to provide more focused biologic support.

Delivery is selected based on anatomy, tissue thickness, and treatment intent — not as a patient‑selected option.

PRF mesotherapy

Liquid PRF can be delivered superficially into the skin (mesotherapy‑style) to support skin quality and texture. It may be used on the face and, when appropriate, other areas such as the neck, décolleté, and hands.

PRF gel and extended‑release PRF (albumin‑based protocols)

PRF can also be processed into a gel form and, in selected cases, combined with albumin‑based preparation to create a longer‑acting regenerative scaffold. This can provide slower biologic signaling and longer tissue interaction, without synthetic fillers.

The way PRF is prepared influences how long it interacts with tissue and how it behaves over time, which is why preparation is chosen deliberately rather than standardized.

Areas where PRF may be applied

  • Under‑eye region (tear troughs and periorbital skin)
  • Face (skin quality support and selected areas of structural support)
  • Neck and décolleté
  • Hands
  • Scalp (as part of hair protocols, when appropriate)

How PRF works in the skin

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an autologous regenerative treatment derived from your own blood. Rather than adding volume or changing facial structure, PRF works by delivering a concentrated biologic signaling matrix directly into the dermis.

  • Releases growth factors gradually over time
  • Supports fibroblast activation and collagen remodeling
  • Improves skin quality, hydration, and resilience

PRF is placed within the dermis, where platelets and growth factors form a biologic signaling environment. This supports fibroblast activity and gradual collagen reorganization, leading to healthier, more resilient skin over time — without adding volume.

When used under the eyes, gel or extended‑release PRF may provide longer‑lasting support compared with liquid PRF alone, while preserving a natural appearance.

Who PRF tends to work well for

  • Patients noticing thinning, crepey texture, or changes in skin resilience
  • Those seeking gradual, biologic improvement rather than immediate correction
  • Patients who prefer conservative approaches and natural outcomes
  • Those uncomfortable with synthetic fillers in sensitive areas

When PRF may be less suitable

  • Seeking dramatic, immediate correction from a single visit
  • Unwilling to follow a structured protocol
  • Goals that require a different modality after assessment

What results typically look like

PRF works over time. Most patients notice gradual improvement in skin quality and texture, with changes evolving over weeks. Because PRF relies on individual biology, response varies.

Investment & expectations

PRF is typically performed as part of a short regenerative series, rather than a single visit. In our practice, most PRF protocols involve 3 to 4 sessions, spaced several weeks apart.

  • Single session₪2,000
  • Recommended protocol (3 sessions)₪6,000
  • Optimal protocol (4 sessions)₪8,000

Protocols that involve PRF gel or albumin‑based extended‑release PRF may require additional preparation and are planned individually after assessment. Exact recommendations and costs are discussed during consultation, once candidacy, anatomy, and goals are understood. There is no obligation to proceed.

Every recommendation is made in the context of your skin, your goals, and time.
